What I need in a DMCA takedown notice

To help me handle requests quickly, please include all of the following standard elements in your notice:

  1. A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or an authorized agent.
  2. A clear description of the copyrighted work you claim is being infringed (title, author, link to the original if available).
  3. The exact location of the allegedly infringing material on this blog (full URL).
  4. A statement that you have a good faith belief the use is unauthorized.
  5. A statement under penalty of perjury that the information in the notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on behalf of the owner.
  6. Your contact information (name, address, telephone number, and email) so I can follow up.

Missing information can delay processing. so being specific (exact URLs, clear identification of the work) helps a lot.
